Feeling Blue

Feeling blue, nothing to do with the flipping snow! But all to do with my colour of the moment! A short time ago I was very lucky to win a set of lovely scrummy stamps from Jennie at The Artistic Stamper and they have been waiting for me to have some energy and time to get crafting. The time has come! A kind person donated me some scraps of mountboard, so with my Terra (which is never far away from my hand) and Ferro, off I splogged! Having got the consistency I wanted, I then stamped into the paste and let it dry. Hopefully this will make sense to some people.

A few days later I had been painting a picture and had loads of Claudine's studio sky blue paint over on my craft sheet. It would have been rude to throw it away, it is such a pretty colour, so on it went randomly onto several of the prepared mountboard pieces.

While it was drying, I painted some grunge board with, you guessed it, more sky blue.( I really had lots over!) When dry, I stamped with black stazon with Jennie's lovely stamps and cut them out, first the bird cage and then the flying birds. Next I sprayed the boards with glimmer mists and when they were dry I added some gorgeous Inka-Gold silver and the pretty blue to various places. Then simply stuck on the cage and the birdies, oh and added a ribbon to hang it up with!

Now for a break! Imagine music in the background, maybe "Blue Moon."

This is day one of the snow, not much then!

Break over, Next one

More of Jennie's stamps and also a Tim Holz stamp snuck in. A scrap of orangey yellow card, edged with distress ink was used as a sun, or is it a moon, I am not sure? It is a shame you cannot see of the sparkly bits in the background, blame it on the photographer (me!)

Pause for breath! Lastly ("thank god" I hear you cry) I made a card!

More mountboard die cut into a circle. Versa marked it, sprinkled with Suze Weinberg's Blue Iris Uttee Brightz. (getting the theme, Blue,) then stamped Jennie's little bird (my favourite) into it with Black Stazon!

Cuttlebugged a piece of white card for the background, smeared (which you can't see sadly) with BLUE Inka-Gold, mounted it onto a matching blue piece of card. Stuck it on a white card and popped the bird on the top! Oh I forgot I put a smear of ice stickles on top of the blue uttee and Ink-Gold silver! Looks much better in real life.

Happy Christmas Everyone!
